Moving into a new experience can be a difficult process with many obstacles to be overcome, but ultimately the rewards are worth it and many texts – fictional and non-fictional – demonstrate this reality. Billy Elliot, a film directed by Stephen Daldry and released in 2000, is a text with a powerful message about venturing into a new experience.
